Global warming is one of the biggest threats to our environment. What causes global warming? What solutions are there to this problem?

Global warming is long–term rise in the average temperature of earth's climate. Humans activity is the main cause of it. In this essay, I will explain some causes of it and suggest some solutions.

First of all, one of the major causes is burning fossil fuels such as coal and gas to create electricity or power of cars, which release greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere. These gases get stuck in the air, and make the climate warmer. The other one is cutting down trees. Unfortunately, millions of forests destroyed every year for different purposes such as making papers or clearing land for building. Trees help to balance the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Therefore, without them our lives is in danger.

There are some solutions to reduce the rising of earth's temperature. One of them is instead of using fossil fuels, starting using renewable energy like solar, wind and waves energy, to create the electricity we need for our devices. The other one is preventing deforestation and plant more trees, because trees play an important role in reducing the greenhouse gases. The last but not the least solution is education programs in schools and on television to help everyone, especially young generation, know the value of our environment, and do their best to protect it and keep it clean for next generations.

To sum up, humans activities caused the problems of global warming, so we should try to solve these problems, to give our children a safer and healthier future by stopping using fossil fuels and protecting our forests.
