In the future, the main reason for going to the shopping mall will be for entertainment, not to shop. Do you agree or disagree?
It is true that for some people, spending time in a shopping mall is not only for shopping, but also for relaxation and having fun. While I agree that this trend is getting more and more popular, my view is that entertainment cannot be the main reason for going to malls.
It cannot be denied that shopping malls which offer people a variety of services can attract more customer. Also, people usually do shopping with their family and friends, so this is a chance for them to be together in a restaurant or in a cinema after buying what they want. Therefore, this is why we see more people in entertainment areas than in shopping sections. Moreover, there are many amazing amusement Parks which offer people a much more variety of entertainment forms so, if they want entertainment, they can choose entertainment center instead of shopping malls.
Shopping at malls cannot be replaced by online shopping. First of all, shopping at malls provides a lot of fun that cannot be experienced through a website. A customer has to buy a product without seeing how it looks like. The images of products are sometimes misleading. I often have to return clothes and other items because the size and color is wrong for me. The other reason is that the online payment is not much secured, so shopping at malls is more safer than online shopping, but there are not these problems in shopping at malls. Finally, you have to wait for delivery for at least 1-3 weeks. Therefor, I believe that shopping at malls is better than online shopping.
To sum up, shopping malls will continue to expand their area for entertainment activities to attract more customer, but customer will never go to shopping malls just for entertainment.
