In these days, gap year is a hot trend for those who already graduate from high school to take a year off. While many people believe that there are several benefits for the young choosing this option, others argue that it totally exists a plenty of drawbacks.

Obviously, there are a greal deal of positive sides that students should work and travel between finishing high school and attending to university. First, The process of studying at school during 12 years makes learners stressed and want to recharge new batteries. In fact, under the pressure of deadlines and exams in schooltime, teenagers expect to have time for relaxing after their graduation. Traveling or work are likely to support their satisfaction of physical and mental sides to be ready for going to higher education. Second, it is clear that a number of students don’t still make decisions about their own majors as well as the orientation of career. Choosing majors is entirely so essential that determines whether students will have passion for what they are learning, which leads to their results at university. By working part-time, doing volunteering or visiting new places,the juvenile will discover their appropriate job to choose the most suitable major.

However, there are certainly dangers taking time off at that important age. Initially, Gap year interrupts the discipline of study. The students surely fall into statement of laziness if they spend a lot of leisure time on visiting many new places, entertaining in high volume, which results in stopping them from the expectation of back to school. In some cases, those who get high-paid job during time of off school will be likely to finish their study at all in order to focus making a living. Another point is that going to college 1 year later make students graduate more slowly than their peers do, therefore, they probably miss some opportunities for prosper work owing to the fact that Labour market becomes more and more competitive in these days.

In conclusion, it is undenied that taking time off after highschool will be continuously an ideal option for youth. In spite of the pros appreciated, there still have some the cons that should be taken into account.
