The chart shows the percentage of women and men in one Asian country who passed when they took their driving test between 1980 and 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

A glance at the bar chart provided illustrates the proportion of females and males passing their driving test in an Asian country from 1980 to 2010.
The initial impression from the chart is that while the number of men passing their driving test accelerated over the time, that of women experienced an undulation. It is also noticeable that the percentage of women who passed the driving test was higher than that of men.
In 1980, approximately 49% of women had been seen to pass the test, in which this nearly doubled that of men at about 27%. Similarly, after ten years, the percentage of women was still higher than the other, and it then reached the peak at almost 70% in 2000, which was 20% more than that of men.
Interestingly, at the end of the period, while there was a downward trend in the proportion of women passing the driving test, at merely 62%, the proportion of men maintained unchanged, at about 50%.
