The given bar chart gives information about the average working hours of married men and women in paid employment.
Overall, the total of hours worked by women is far greater than the corresponding figure of married men.
It can be seen from the chart that at all ages married women have a tendency to work more than married men but there is a disparity of divided work. In the 24 to 44 age group, men spend about six hours working outside while the devoted time for the paid work of women is slightly lower with approximately five hours. Another difference can be noted is men use just nearly 2 hours for housework while women have to do the household chores twice as much as men do.
In the remained age group, the hours men spend at the workplace are still moderately higher than that of women, with the figures are about seven and six hours respectively. However, there is a slight difference in the hours of working inside as women aged 45 to 64 just devote more than four hours to finish the work at home whereas the same figure of men is recorded to be nearly three hours.
