Nowadays, there is a trend that children take some kind of paid work. While many people in various countries this is the good way for children to gain experiences, knowledge and responsibility, others think it totally has drawbacks. However, I agree with the second idea.

Many advantages for children to get the paid work have been obvious in many countries. Firstly, paid work can help children with self-confident, independence as well as responsibility. They would know how hard their parents afford to nurture them because money is not easy to earn in modern life. Moreover, experience is something children can not learn from any book, thus they must do some paid work to gain it. The type of experience can help them with social skills and maturity.

Meanwhile, there are more negative aspects for children to get paid work. First, children can be distracted from studies or natural growth. They are too young for working and knowing about money or responsibility in adult’s life. Instead of this, they should be raised without any pressure and be innocent as much as they can. Furthermore, paid work seems to be tiresome and arduous. Children may suffer from boredom and depression. Lastly, social experience can definitely be gained later after they finish their education.

In conclusion, although there are many benefits for children to be engaged paid work, this seems the drawbacks outweigh the other one. Therefore, I completely agree with the idea that letting children get paid work is wrong.
