In today’s society, it is argued that high school students should have the right to rate and criticise their teachers in order to raise the quality of education. Others believe that it will make students disrespect their teachers and cause loss of control in class. Personally, I totally agree with the first view. This essay will discuss why assessments made by students are necessary for standard education and explain why it will not cause any loss of respect or discipline.

Feedbacks provided by students bring plenty of benefits. Firstly, teachers can assess whether their teaching method works effectively on students or not. It creates opportunities for teachers in fixing mistakes and improve their ways of teaching. Moreover, it also opens up the possibilities for students to participate more actively in class. As high school students are allowed to assess their teacher, pupils will aware that they are part of the lesson. Having a say will provoke students’enthusiastism in study. Furthermore, it can reduce the state of superficial teaching of some teachers. When their work is evaluated, it creates the motivation for teachers to improve their effort.

Evaluation will not let students behave disrespectfully to their teachers or cause indiscipline in class. In fact, it depends on the way the form is conducted. The form should be based on the teaching in a detailed and clear framework, which leads students to the right lane to assess their teachers and effectively give feedback.
