IELTS WRITING TASK 2:
Individual should take responsibility of the environment or is it the government’s responsibility. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Many nations have been faced with the environmental problems for a couple of decades. While some people hold the belief that protecting the environment is everyone’s accountability, the others claim that the government should be the only one who have to be responsible for this issue. In this essay, an effort will be made to deal with both standpoints.
To begin with, the chief reason why the men in power need to play a vital role is that they contribute indirectly but significantly to the damage of the nature. As far as we are concerned, most kinds of pollution are caused by numerous activities of industrial construction, such as air pollution caused by smoke from factories or water contamination created from rubbish exhausted by manufacturers. However, these performances could not commence without permission of the government. As a result, authorities need putting in charge of tackling this burning problem as a way to compensate for natural environment.
By contrast, there are many people who hold that preserving the environment is a matter of personal issue. One convincing explanation in support of this statement is that not only is pollution brought about by government but it is also attributed to every human by their throwing trashes and garbage or using too many vehicles on roads, which increase the rate of contamination in Earth as well. Besides, the main purpose of those activities that come from factories is to for people, namely producing food, providing clothes and so forth. Consequently, everyone in this society should save the planet together.
For the aforementioned reasons, I think that environmental conservation is a task which requires the combination of both two sides. Thus, if authorities’ strict laws implementation and the citizens’ changes in living habits cooperate with each other, our world will definitely be prevented from environmental degradation.
