Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists and not local people. Why is this case? What can be done to attract local people?

It is undoubting that museums and historical landmark appeal more to visitors than local citizens. There are vital factors trigger this problem and effective solution can be conducted by government and museums to draw local people to visit these sites.

To begin with, a reason why inhabitants in themselves country are less visiting compared to tourism that the unchanging of ancient spots make them rarely interested in. Residents believe that they not only got a good understanding of stories and event being in a lot of years ago, but also knew clearly in their initial sightseeing. As a result, they decide to travel oversea or visit in other nations to get new cultures and various customs. Additionally, these sites often require a high entrance fee. For instance, those who live under poor conditions are impossible afford to price to get in despite their wish. Therefore, it prevents the deprived from visiting historical places.

Nevertheless, this issue can be successfully tackled by enhancing the aesthetic values parallel with the historical values of the monuments and museums. For instance, museums can decorate with different statues for showing some ancient celebrities or also set collections in where people easily access to. Moreover, the government should lower admission fee or offer free tickets in such special days to stimulate citizens' excitement.

To sum up, in comparison with the number of local people in visiting museums and historical spots are not as much as that of foreign one. Dealing with this issue, we ought to add new things and reduce cost.
