TOPIC: People generally know that the environment is important. However, most individuals still don't take responsibility to protect the environment. Why is it? What should be done to encourage people to protect the environment?

In recent years, environmental issues have become the major priority of governments across the world. Although our planet is being alarmingly damaged, some people seem unconcerned about these challenges. This essay will elaborate on some root causes of this trend and some measures should be promptly taken to tackle them.

Environmental issues such as air pollution and global warming are attributed to two key factors. The most apparent reason for this dilemma stems from the perception that the environment is a future concern. According to environmentalists, severe repercussions of climate change and energy shortage might occur in around 200 years. Rather than protecting our planet, humans are supposed to deal with urgent problems, including educational development and healthcare system innovation. Additionally, it is a common thought that environmental contamination is to blame for industrialization. In other words, wastewater and exhaust fumes are directly discharged into the natural environment by the number of plants without efficient treatment systems. Household wastes, on the other hand, have detrimental impacts on our earth because these toxic chemicals probably increase the risk of animal habitat loss and contaminated oceans.

To solve these obstacles, it is crucial that the authorities should take proactive environment-related approaches. Firstly, when it comes to long-term effectiveness, creating public service advertisements could deter residents from using disposable products. Particularly, businesses are acquired to offer more incentives to those who favor environmentally-friendly items. Vinmart, for example, has launched a campaign to reduce the price of the package once consumers purchase green products and quit using plastic bags. An additional solution is that individuals should join hands in environmental conversation by recycling more, adding more greeneries, and avoiding utilizing single-use goods.

In conclusion, both the authorities and individuals should be responsible for protecting the environment as our planet is under serious threat.
