Some people believe that planning for the future is a waste of time because they think that focusing on the present is more important. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
People have different views about whether making plans in advance or solely focusing on the present moments is more significant. In my opinion, these two sides are of equal importance.
On the one hand, I believe that it is vital to make plans for the future. In fact, people have their own dreams and goals to strive towards, so making plans help them stay oriented and make progress towards fulfilling these targets. A clear plan can also act as an encouragement for people to devote themselves to realizing their pursuits. If no plans are set up in advance, it is possible that people will get off track when in difficulty. For example, high school students who desire to study in a foreign university should make a detailed plan such as choosing his preferred university or learning the native language so that they can clearly know what to prepare for their future study.
On the other hand, maintaining focus on the present also plays an essential role in achieving success. The first reason is that people will make little or even no progress if they do not implement present plans. It means that they have to take immediate actions to realize their dreams or else their targets will never be achieved. The second reason is that people need to properly evaluate the current situations in order to produce the best outcomes. For example, if managers know what current trends are popular, they can produce the products which meet the demands of consumers.
In conclusion, it seems to me that in order to achieve success, people need to both focus on the present and set clear plans for the future at the same time.
