Ielts writing task 2 obesity

It is deleterious situation that children acquire obesity around the world. I believe that primary causes of this problem originated from the unhealthy lifestyle of infant and the effects of obesity on children is severe, while potential solutions require the supervision of parents.

About the causes of problem, children with unhealthy lifestyle, which contains the lack of exercise and the over-consumption of junk food, may lead to acquiring over-weighted disease. For instance, after a period of sitting in front of TV, consuming fast food and soft drink, my neighbor’s child has become over-weighted.

About the effects of problem, I think that children with obesity may have the significant chances of having diabetes, heart-related disease, cancer, and so on.

Additionally, it may be true they would put a strain on medical systems. For example, cost for curing disease can be exorbitant, which may be the burden for the hospitals in the future.

About the solutions to tackle the problem, it is clear that it is the responsibility of families, schools and governments to ensure the wholesome lifestyle of the children. Parents should control the children on what they eat and limit the time children could spend on watching TV or playing the computer games. In addition, schools could provide children with more outdoor activities or just encourage them to take exercises. Also, it is important for authorities to restrict junk food advertisements.

In conclusion, although obesity has both negative impact on children and medical systems, this disease can be prevent with the cooperation of parents, schools and governments.
