IELTS Writing Task 2 - help me evaluate my essay

In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

It is often argued that hard copies of newspaper and books are perishing from the world because of emerging technology.I completely agree with this notion not only because of online accessibility of information at anywhere and environmental friendly due to less deforestation but also because of cost effective. this essay will explore how these factors justify my opinion.

Firstly, the factor that compelled me to agree with this statement is digital means of information. As by emerging technology the newspaper and books are widely available on the internet and can be accessed at any where or any time in the world.Take an example of university of Arizona, United States of America, where students and teachers prefer digital library for study materials and daily newspaper.Thus,digital source of information becoming more to use with the technology.

Secondly, online information are environmental friendly.As less trees are cut down to print thousands of hard copies of books and newspaper everyday.For instance, a report by State Forest Department, Brazil, where billions of trees are cut down every year disappearing the wildlife from the region.Hence,the e-libraries are necessity of the world now t save the forest.

Finally, internet means of information is cost effective. As the heavy price of printing books and newspaper can be saved due to technology.

To Sum up, I believe that i completely agree with this statement. Not only because of easy accessibility of online information and technology can save thousands of forest to make more suitable environment but also cost effective due to high printing cost.
