Writing task 2(Ielts):
Nowadays, the vying between the necessity of building huge, beautiful architectures and the improvement of public buildings is in the pipeline. Although some executive authorities advocate that schools and hospitals are more necessary than the others, some governments tend to prefer constructing impressive buildings.
Firstly, the constructing attractive, superb skyscrapers can appeal the tourists and therefore, it does wonders for the economic development of metropolis. According to some statistics in Times magazine, the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, has contributed to attract over 5000 tourists per year in United Arab Emirates and has enhanced the immense amount of revenue for the country in recent years. Despite the vastly huge amount of money spent for fabricating exorbitantly expensive constructions, we cannot negate the efficiency about beauty and finance that it has granted. Hence, some paramount governments believe that wonderful architectures play a pivotal role in constituting beautiful landscapes and industrialising tourism for conurbations.
Although some architectural experts state that building breathtaking constructions is paramount importance of benefiting a city, the others oppose that the finance should be spent on constructing infrastructures such as hospitals and schools by the executive authorities. In fact, some countries cannot construct amazing skyscrapers because of the deficiency of money. However, building affordably priced hospital and schools which aims to progress the local occupants' lives requires less amount of tax. Thus, the improvement partly increases the national finance.
In conclusion, I think that both views are appropriate. According to the urban's spontaneous economical situations, the governments can flexibly choose the best way to effectuate modernisation policy.
