The responsibility of educating children how to be good members of society is still a controversial issue. While some people suppose that it belongs to parents, others believe that schools are in charge of this affair.
To the first option that parents are responsible for teaching their children, as we can see that parents go along with children's life during from new-born babies to adolescents, even becoming adults. So, parents spend the amount of time to know in-depth their kids' personalities. As a result, they could teach and adjust children's behaviour to adapt with the society. For instance, parents might recognise a kid to tend to be an introvert person through observing the way of communication to outside as well as that kid's own interests. Therefore, parents make well-oriented for their kid in order to have no feeling of isolation. At the same time, a child would learn a couple of helpful skills from parents' living experiences that cannot be taught in any school or from any enthusiastic person like that. Parents do these things with all their hearts to wish children to become good citizens.
Meanwhile, most people must be sure that children need to go to school. Obviously, the most fundamental role of school is to transmit knowledge which has accumulated for thousands of years. This proven knowledge must be taught by the proper and educational methods. Hence teachers who are trained by institutes to be responsible for this task. Due to the fact that some cases are self-taught with parents' instruction who graduated from universities and have owned a good teaching skill, children might lack intense knowledge for many disciplines. They also seem to weakly connect with their generation unless going to school.
In conclusion, both parents and school play a significant role in educating children. This connection should not be separated, actually. From my perspective, a child should be taught by co-ordination between them to achieve comprehensive developments involved in mental and physical growth, as consequence they are ready to go into the society.
