Some people believe that planning for the future is a waste of time because they think that focusing on the present is more important. To what do you extent agree or disagree?

It is argued that people should only focus on the present works rather than make a plan for future activities because it is time-consuming. In my opinion, I disagree with this view as I believe both these activities are equally important, and planning for the future will save time.

On the one hand, my conviction is that planning for the future is part and parcel of people’s life because it will save them a vast amount of time. To be more specific, by coming up with plans, people could have a more overarching vision and a more detailed agenda, which is because a well-designed plan not only highlights the primary goals, but also list secondary ones. This would keep people fully informed of the amount of work they have to finish in order to achieve their goal. People tend to focus on doing vital work and avoid doing meaningless activities if they know how much work they have left. In other words, planning could save people much time from doing useless works.

On the other hand, it is also significant to maintain focus on the present. This is because the present will have a big impact on the future. The fact that while humans could not know what will happen in the future, they could affect it by react and respond appropriately to the situations in the present. This means that people could change their future by changing their present. Research has shown that by working hard every day, regardless of their conditions, individuals are likely to earn what they want in the future, even if it is successful in both career and life.

In conclusion, while I disagree with the view that making a plan for the future is a waste of time, I believe focusing on the present is as important as coming up with a future plan.
