Ielts writing task 2: Children's decision
Do you agree or disagree with this statement:
"Teenagers should be allowed to make their own decisions on such things as what to wear, who to play with and what career to choose"

These days, it is open to question as to whether parents should allow their offsprings to make choices on their daily matters as per their own will. Personally, I think that making age-appropriate decisions will be beneficial for teenagers.
First and foremost, permitting children to decide matters that affect them in daily life will help them build up their confidence. When teenagers facing a situation which force them to make decision, they will inevitably be worried and indecisive for fear of making the wrong choice.In that situation, children will learn to trust themselve and believe in the decision they made.
Furthermore, it helps them learn about the outcome of their choices, whether positive or negative.For example, if they make a good decision, they will feel a sense of accomplishment, proud of them and begin to have confidence in their abilities. If they make a bad decision, it will teach them bear the responsibility for their own deed. This can help children learn from previous experiences and become a better problem solver in the future.
Last but not least, decision-making freedom build a youngster's self-autonomy ability. Making their own choice about such things like what to wear, who to play with and what career to pursue will enhance their independence which really benefit them when going out the real world.
In conclusion, allowing adolescents to make their own decision on daily matters will help them develop confidence, independence, build up problem-solving skills and teach them how to bear the responsibility for their actions.
