Ielts Writing Task 2: Causes and Solutions

In many big cities in the world, the quality of life is decreasing. What are the causes and solutions for this?

It is widely argued that the life's quality in a great deal of big cities all over the world is falling. There are a number of reasons behind this point of view and several solutions should be proposed to deal with this problem.

There are two primary reasons why the quality of these cities becomes worse. One reason is that big cities are more and more crowded. People from the countryside tend to move into the urban to seek employment and earn money. However, there are not enough jobs and accommodations for them. This causes the increase in the number of crime and other social problems. Another reason is the negative aspects of early development in the big cities. The infrastructure is downgraded and the environment is polluted. Therefore, citizens in the big cities can't have good services as they used to.

However, measures must be taken by government and international bodies to improve the quality of life in big cities. The first solution would be the simultaneous development in both the cities and the countryside, which reduces the immigrants from poor places to big cities. Besides, police need to have measures to control the crime. A second solution would be that the government should encourage people and companies to invest money to upgrade the infrastructure in the cities. There should be more funds which is used to improve the services. These measures can help to improve the quality of life in these cities.

In conclusion, it is clear that there are some reasons for the worse in some big cities's quality of life and steps need to be taken to tackle this problem.
