Essay & Composition Writing

IELTS Writing TASK 2. Can you please check my work and I very appreciate any advices of yours. Thank you very much!

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems

To what extend do you agree or disagree?

As globalization continues to be an omnipresent tendency, people often consider going abroad to extend their cognition about other continentals that they have not yet step into. Yet, it is still a arduous path if you have not prepared well such as fluently speak and well-comprehended their language. Some claimed that lack of communication skill could bring undesirable outcomes. But as you have a will to acquaint with new communities and find other tools that help you in the communicating process, then it is not that severe regarding socializing and real-life struggles. Therefore, I can only partially agree with this statement.

Whether you have reached at a certain level of fluency or not while learning another languages, there are inherent aggravations that could occur in terms of cultural differences and social general habits. For example, you may have knowledge and skills to use and speak this foreign language properly without any errors, but misleading or misunderstanding still happen as you do not get along well with the mentioned contents or references. These circumstances are normal for anyone that are entering a culture different from their own. Often people use their body language as a survival tool to deal with these speaking impediments, but the core issue of not understanding the contexts still remains. A better resolution should be designated is technology.

With smartphones and Internet, people can research and acquire more information about the country in which they are currently living. You can join in a forum, a debate, or a group on social medias to find other partners who can guide you ways to solve your issues. Technological devices could also be a tool of navigation. In case you get loss and face practical issues such as health problems or injuries from incidents, you need to go to the nearest medical facilities, and digital maps with GPS could be a helpful assistant in this situation.

In conclusion, social or practical issues when living abroad might be attributable to poor skills of speaking foreign language, but as the recent uprising of globalization bias and technology development, these problems could be foreseen as being less important in the near future.
