In some cultures, children are often told they can achieve anything if they try hard enough. What are the advantages and disadvantages of giving children this message?

There have been some quotes about how to conquer your dream and apparently all of them relate to consistency acquired from other realistic circumstances. Therefore, in a few countries, kids are usually taught that they can do everything with efforts. I will draw its primary benefit that it’s the best way to gain success although putting too much efforts may cause insufficience of social activities.

Let’s start the dispute by looking at the advantage standing out most that it’s the key to success. Persistence play an important role to decide whether a person is qualified to be successful or not, because if efforts were not provided, people would not have enough ability, knowledge, experience, and advice to cope with failure before success. For example, in Vietnam we have an idiom that says constancy compensates talent means if a person or specifically a kid work hard enough to pursue their demand, although he or she is not smart, talented or gifted, they will still likely to have some attainments in their journeys of life. Reversely, achievements without many tries and dedication won’t last long.

On the other hand, despite dedicating makes dreams come true, this may cause lack off childhood in minors. Seemingly, when children hammer on their dreams and have no communication with friends may cause autism or stresses. In Vietnam, many reports have been telling about the harm of over-study when a big number of teens here are considered to have lot of pressures when most of the time is spent on school and extra-classes in order to be well prepared for tests and university threshold.

In conclusion, though hard work pays off, we should also try to balance between social life and working time. As a consequence, not only children are both deserved for their attainments and have a perfect interval with their other interests.
