Opinions are divided as to whether public health care and education expenses should be funded by the government or should not be considered as their responsibilities. Both sides of this issue will be under discussion within the scope of this writing.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why the states should cover the cost of hospital bills and tuition fees for its citizens. Firstly, if the public health care system is included in the government funding budgets, the number of healthy populations would increase considerably. Since inhabitants regardless of financial positions could enjoy qualified health care services, they could stay away from plenty of diseases and maintain physical and mental well-being. Secondly, tuition-free policies would encourage more students to get access to higher education and graduate with academic knowledge, which could help them join the white-collar workforce and devote more taxes to their home country. Furthermore, the fact of having well-training leaders and employees is the catalyst for the domestic business to flourish and compete globally.

On the other hand, the onus for citizens’ verdure and schooling is not on the government. Being strong and knowledgeable is the ultimate right that every single individual should be the first one to be responsible for themselves. As for the former aspect, the sound of the body enables people to work productively in the labor market and pursue success in life. Moreover, if a person pays well consideration to daily diets and periodic medical checkups, his or her life expectancy might be expanded, which means they can continue to make valuable contributions to society. Regarding the latter benefit, advanced educational background helps people become more employable and flexible in different working environments. That could broaden their career prospects and ensure strong financial health in the long run. For example, students majoring in English linguistics could be hunted for translators, tour guides, or language teaching positions in international companies, where their skills and knowledge would be highly appreciated and secure good money.

In conclusion, although it is beneficial to have governments pay the costs of health care and tuition fees for their inhabitants, the burden should not be placed on their shoulders. It is well-advised that each individual should care for themself as they directly receive advantages from their healthiness and literacy.
