“Some people feel that certain workers like nurses, doctors, and teachers are undervalued and should be paid more”. To what extent do you agree?

Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.

These days, it is believed that we are undervaluing certain professionals such as nurses, doctors, and teachers and these workers deserve to be paid more. I personally totally agree with this point of view, as now will be discussed.

First, workers like nurses and doctors are usually required to work in hazardous conditions due to their nature of work. Obviously, these workers’ working conditions always put them at high risk of contracting perilous diseases because of the fact that doctors and nurses have to interact with patients as well as contagious viruses frequently. All things abovementioned considered, nurses and doctors deserve to have a higher salary to be worthy of their dedication to this job. Moreover, doctors and nurses are the ones who treat people and save many lives. Without them, our life would be full of more difficulties. Therefore, we must look up to these great workers by showing reverence for them.

Second, nowadays, many teachers have to take over a lot of workload at a time. Take the example of my aunt who is a primary school, besides teaching students in classes, she also has to prepare lessons every night before class and takes well care of her children. However, her salary is hardly enough to make ends meet and she has no choice but takes over extra work like online selling and tutoring after school. Regarding this, teachers should be paid more not only for their devotion to the students but also for their living. Additionally, it is undeniable that teaching is the most precious work among other professionals because teachers impart good lessons to the students and help them to be better and better every day, hence they must be highly appreciated by the entire society.

In conclusion, I am totally in favor of the idea that we should pay doctors, nurses, and teachers more as well as show more respect to them as these workers have contributed a great deal to build a better society.
