Please help me with my Writing Task 2: Discussion
Some people believe that all wind animals should be protected. Other say that only a few wild animals should be protected. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
My essay:
People have different views about the protection of wild animals. While some people argue that only a few kinds should be protected, I am of the opinion that the conservation of all wild animals is necessary.
On the one hand, the argument that only some wild animals should be conserved is reasonable to some extent. The first reason for this is that the government budget which is allocated for wildlife conservation is limited. There are still other social problems such as healthcare or education which need investment from the government. As a result, only some endangered animals should be protected to save money for other purposes. The second reason for this is the lack of land to protect wild animals. With the development of factories and cities, the area of forests and grassland has become narrower. Consequently, there is not enough primitive area that is compatible with the natural living condition of wild animals to protect them.
On the other hand, there are a variety of reasons why I believe that all wildlife needs to be protected. First, the existence of all wild animals plays a vital role in maintaining the balance of their natural habitat. It could be explained by the fact that an animal can appear in the other’s food chain, which means that the extinction of any animal can lead to the other’s extinction. Second, there is an increase in hunting wild animals for food and commercial purposes. If there is not any method to protect all of them, more kinds of wild animals which are now large in number will be put in danger in the future.
In conclusion, I still believe that it is necessary and urgent to protect all wild animals due to their importance in the natural habitat and the significant decrease in their number.
