The advancements in technology have undoubtedly influenced various aspects of human’s lives. Indeed, an increasing number of tasks are now being conducted and operated by robotic machines. Obviously, accompanied with several benefits, this trend also brings certain drawbacks.

On the one hand, the prevalence of robots at home and workplace will be considered as positive for the following reasons. Regarding those who are parents, they would have more fund-time to conduct parental duties. Specifically, with the help of a vacuum, washing machine and other household appliances, household chores will be finished within a short time, which means parents can have more time to play with and educate their children. Workplace-wise, productivity may be improved thanks to robotic systems. In many factories, particularly, automatic systems are implemented so that the procedures and delivery could be optimal and generate more products.

On the other hand, it is undeniable that the burgeoning robotics may also lead to certain disadvantages. In terms of humans, it is the excessive assistant of automatic machines that makes people more and more inactive. Evidently, if everything can be easily performed by electronic devices, either adults or children might become lazy as basic things such as doing the washing up or cleaning the house are done by machines. With respect to employees, there is a likelihood that they are on the brink of being unemployed. Manual works which take a lot of time to complete are now replaced by assembly robotic arms for higher productivity, resulting in a number of workers who may be out of job.

In conclusion, although robots do benefit humans in terms of time and productivity, they can also be a threat to workers and cause people to suffer from an inactive lifestyle.
