Topic: Some people think that watching imported films or TV programs is a good way to broaden a countries' culture. Others feel that it is better to let a country makes its own films. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Nowadays, films and TV programs play an essential role in our life because of their entertainment and value in the transmission of history. Many people consider that imported films or TV shows extend the culture of a country. However, other people think a country should create its own films. From my viewpoint, I agree with both views.
On the one hand, Significant films or TV shows have made substantial to a country’s culture. They attract a wide variety of viewers. When many people watch them, they can know more about other country’s culture. For example, the ‘Squid game’ recently become popular with 82 million views in 28 days. Since, we all know what game Korea has and Dalgona candies in Korea. This film is exactly successful in showing their culture due to its uniqueness and interest. Hence, movies make us accept good things in other country’s culture. In contrast, we mustn't create assimilation of our country in the cultural integration.
On the other hand, some people suppose that it’s very necessary for countries to make their own films. We can show our cultural-specific and uniqueness. Our films can exactly transmit our national identity. People in other countries can know more about our cultural heritage and our history. For example, many people know about noodle soup and go to Viet Nam to try it. Moreover, films give many benefits to a country’s economy as a result of their popularity. They attract a large number of tourists and national identity will be known more.
In conclusion, both views contribute to the extension and popularity of a country’s culture.
