Parenting styles are differed from family to family. Therefore, choosing what parenting style will going to practice for a child is vitally important decision to make. However, while some believe that parents should engage their children in structured activities, I agree with those who feel that children should be set free to plan something for themselves in their leisure time.

However, while some believe that parents should engage their children in structured activities, I agree with those who feel that children should be set free to plan something for themselves in their leisure time.

On the one hand, it could be argued that structured group activities should be encouraged by the parents as it has certain benefits. Those who support organized activities say that they prefer physical well-being of the children over wasting time on gadgets or playing video games. As a matter of fact, every sport required certain level of practice and exercise. Consequently, sporty activities lead them towards hardship, motivated and gives sense of achievement. Moreover, structured group activities are said to allow them to socialize and enhance further inter-personal skills which are surely beneficial for there career. As a result, children become more confident in communication and learn the skill of conflict resolution among their peers and opponents.

On the other hand, I believe that there are more arguments to suggest that parents should prefer unstructured playing for their children. Firstly, solitary playing led the children more persuasive and persistent, by setting targets and activities of their own interest. Thus, these activities allow children to be more focused and consistent and gives them sense of responsibility of their own act. In addition, in my opinion, the most certain and significant benefit of engaging children themselves is, as it allows children to think differently through their imagination and gives time to explore themselves. If a child play in pressurize environment and follow the given instruction, how he could be able to plan and generate new ideas. Therefore, children become creative and critical thinker which is necessary essence of childhood through unstructured playing. Let’s take Grace as an example, a 12-year-old girl composed and sang her own song wrote by her in vacations, of thousands of people in reality tv show, and blew every one’s mind. As of now she is a celebrity and pursued her career as singer. Thus, I believe boredom is a doorway towards imagination.

To sum up, although it is important for the children to be in sports activity for their growth and physical fitness, it gives lot of pressure and makes stressful environment for the children. Therefore, on balance, I believe that unstructured playing emerges creativity and gives life full of imagination which is fostering the love to the child by their parents.
