TASK 2: In some cultures, children are often told that they can achieve anything if they try hard enough. What are the advantages and disadvantages of giving children this message?

In some countries, the youth is taught that any accomplishment can be achieved with effort. This essay examines a couple of benefits and drawbacks of this trend.

There two obvious merits of guiding teenagers to be industrious to achieve in their life. Firstly, encouraging young minds frequently can be a great source of inspiration for them. It is because this way of parenting motivates young people to go the extra mile with constant efforts and dedication, which can make them able, successful, and productive citizens of society. Additionally, inspiring adolescents at each step of their lives can give a sense of confidence and hope. By this, a child from a poor background can achieve immeasurable success in his life. For instance, if Ronaldo did not practice soccer for five hours every night when he was a child, he would not be the world’s best soccer player now.

On the other hand, this problem also reveals a wide range of dramatic downsides in their life. The main problem with this is that it can cause much pressure and stress on young people. If a child is unable to achieve a goal, and he is forced hard-working to achieve it which may create psychological as well as mental problems in his or her life. Furthermore, this sort of environment may also lead to children wasting their precious time. This is because a child is asked to pursue a truly unattainable goal for him; it may ruin the life of that child as the child may be burnout.

To sum up, inspiring children to work hard can be inspirational, and ameliorate confidently in their life. However, this way of raising children may cause a piece of pressure on them, and this may also lead them to waste time pursuing unachievable goals.
