Ielts writing task 2

Topic: Some people believe that everyone has a right to have access to university education and that governments should make it free for all students no matter what financial background they have. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

Discussion:

The tertiary tuition has increased inexorably in recent years, which results in two opposite thinking of whether students should be waived tuition or not. I believe that abolishing college tuition may bring a lot of merits and demerits.
First and foremost, abolishing tuition increase the rate of enrollment. The unprivileged have more opportunities to access university, irrespective of their financial background. Moreover, job seeking has emerged as a topic of pivotal interest as it is, tertiary qualification holders stand a better chance to get a good finance career.
In the contract, the pursuit of tertiary education without fee may deteriorate their study performance. For example, if students do not have a financial obligation, they will never put themselves into the study to pass their discipline, let alone graduating. Last but not least, students may not recognize the indeed value of the tertiary qualification because it costs nothing in the learning process. As can be seen, the graduate’s effort seems to be in vain if everyone can pass their study.
In conclusion, abolishing college fee can bring a lot of advantages but not for everyone.
