SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT MODERN TECHNOLOGY HAS MADE SHOPPING TODAY EASIER, WHILE OTHERS DISAGREE. DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS AND GIVE YOUR OPINION.

It is generally believed that our modern technology is now worsening our shopping experiences. While this thinking may be valid to a certain extent, I would argue that innovative technology right now has made shopping much better.

It is understandable why some people have this kind of thought. The key rationale is that people tend to doubt the quality of the products that they would purchase online. Since buying things online means you can not have a try at it, it would seem sensible to be doubtful. Also, identity theft has caused much concern among society. Recently, Facebook and Tiktok have been accused of selling users’ information to third parties to make money. Therefore, the consumers are now scared of shopping online as they’re afraid of being stolen information when they leave a digital footprint.

However, despite the aforementioned adverse effect of technology on online shopping, it still makes a lot of progress in improving the experience of online buying. First, with the advance of technology, shopping is now much more convenient. Instead of wandering all of the stores in the mall, now all you need is to have a stable Internet connection to access the online shops, no matter where you are. Moreover, you do not need to pick the product by yourself at the store, you can easily get it by hiring the shipping company online and you will receive the package within 1 - 3 days. People who have a busy pace of life would probably benefit from this a lot. In addition to that, you would have a larger range of options when you purchase something, even stores that are not in your territory. This would help to compare the price so as to make a wise decision that benefits you the most.

In conclusion, while there may be reasons to support that technology has a bad impact on shopping online, I believe that with the help of it, shopping online is now easy to access.
