Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Nowadays, thanks to the proliferation of means of mass media, advertisements on platforms has been developing massively and widely all over the world. Therefore, many people believe that advertising or ads is too familiar that we no longer have interest in watching them, but some still argue that advertisements have done a great job in convincing us to buy the products. I will dispute both perspectives and state my view also in this essay.
On one hand, I strongly agree with the argument about the success of advertising. Apparently, advertising is now considered to be the fastest way and high efficient method to introduce new products because of its easy accessibility and seeable almost everywhere. For example, many free apps currently which can be enumerated as some huge companies like Facebook, or Google. From what I believe, though their price for accessibility are totally free available for all, they can still make profits through running ads, and if advertisements were unprofitable, how would they have become a multi-billion dollar companies in the world.
On the other hand, there are some people assume that the more advertisement is, the less we have interest in it. Although, this debate has some correct points when some sort of people watching TV now are usually get upset because they are interfered with ads, nonetheless ads would shine brightly for those in need. Concretely, it would be awkward and lame if people keep watching about the product that they don’t want to buy, ergo, promotion would only be essential when it comes to specific clients needing that specific product.
In conclusion, despite being said boring and lame for being so common, promotion is still working good and necessary to some customers especially when they demand to buy things.
