IELTS WRITING TASK 2

I am going to take the IELTS exams so please help me.

Some organizations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Others value quality of work above appearance.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

While some employers believe that employees should have attractive appearances, others claim that the priority should give to the qualification of workers. I am an advocate of the latter, as it seems to get an edge over the previously-mentioned.

To commence with, first impressions could impact on the beliefs of clients. This is because an employee with an appropriate and fashionable outfit would make the other people think that the companies focus on their workers’ appearances, then their quality of work would be guaranteed to be attentively focused. As a consequence, people would have a stronger belief to cooperate with the business. Besides, companies whose employees are good at dressing might improve their public image, leading to widespread popularity.

Secondly, the quality of employees’ work is the key for many enterprises to increase profit and brand loyalty from clients. This is because people want to purchase the best product or get excellent service from companies. If any business could not meet clients’ need in virtue of the bad quality of work, they are likely to lose profit, leading to going to bankrupt. For instance, Google hires the best-qualified employees so that they can create optimal experiences for users.

In conclusion, whether to focus on employees’ appearances of the work’s quality is a hard task for many enterprises. I am still of the opinion that a business which wants to maintain in the changing market should focus much on employees’ quality.
