The Internet is probably the most significant invention of the last 30 years. Without it, our lives would be completely different.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It was clear that the Internet made a big chance when it was created. These days, it plays a vital role in a wide range of fields. Therefore, our lives would be much less developed than now without it.

First of all, starting with searching for information, it would be extremely hard to look for information if it were not the Internet. This is the main reason why the net becomes one of the most important inventions over the past 30 years. Humans are not able to know everything, even only in one field. Thanks to the Internet, just by some clicks or touches, humans can find almost anything we want instead of spending plenty of time on books. This makes study and working get easier and more efficient. For example, a student can find out answers by himself in a short space of time, which saves his time a lot. A company can advertise their products or employment on the Internet, which approaches people faster because they can find them easily when they want. The more easily having access to information is, the more successful making progress is.

Secondly, with the Internet, contacting other people gets far more convenient through social media and apps. In the past, we could only chat with each other over a long distance by traditional calling and texting with phone fees. Now we, however, also do that by making a video call or texting online without phone fees. In addition, we can keep in touch with each other just by adding friends on the social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Lacking of the Internet, we would still just call and text each other via our phone numbers.

Finally, thanks to the Internet, there are more inventions such as online games, social media, shopping sites, etc, which are more or less essential to our lives. Without the net, our lives would never include streamers, online shopping and virtual friends.

In conclusion, the role of the Internet is greatly significant. It is completely revolutionary. Our lives would be hard to grow without it.
