Making profits is certainly the top priority for each company. However, I belive that besides that, corporations should be operated in a sosially responsible manner.

On the one hand, that a company put all its effort into intensifying its property might potentially contribute to the development of the country where it is located, Firstly, the more wealthy the company is, the bigger it will grow. This would creat an array of jobs, partially tackling the unemployment issues. Furthermore, maximizing the profits can expand the tax base. This will enable the government to invest in social services, ensuring the social welfare and security.

On the other hand, businesses ought to devote themselves to the whole development of the society, not only for a good cause but also for their own shakes. Giving back to the society is a way for them to make up for their adverse impact on the environment. For example, the chemical and hazadous litter from the factories as well as the packages can pose a threat to the environment, leading to air, water and soil pollution. This can bring about various diseases and disasters, which afflict people's health and life. Therefore it is advisable for them to take the environmetal laws seriously and partake in the activities and charities that help improve the living standard the poor and underprivileged. In addition, this pratice will help corporations enhance their public image, which can be a huge advantage for themselves.

In conclusion, although profits are the fundamental principle of businesses, they had better profoundly reflect upon their responsibilities for the society.
