Art galleries and museums are gotten more attention in recent years. While some people think that paying for these is necessary, others believe it is a waste of government money. In my view, art galleries and museums offer us the opportunity to learn about a variety of subject areas in more depth. However, many social problems need to be solved by money.

There are a number of good reasons to use public money to pay for art galleries and museums. First of all, there are a lot of historic objects of the country that we need to keep them. Some masterpieces and poterries which belong to the past are needed to conserve. In that case, we have to pay for those such as building, preservation, etc. Another reason is that we can also earn money from those by charging an entry fee or selling these old objects. For example, a few people have an interest in art and they want to purchase some of the pictures. Then we can use that money to invest in museums. Moreover, art galleries and museums help us to understand our culture more. These objects are important for future generations.

On the other hand, when we spend a large amount of money on those, it can be counterproductive. It is public money so people will have to pay higher taxes. Besides, government can use that money for other things like entertaining, supporting the poor people instead of art.

In my opinion, spending money on art galleries and museums is essential, but it depends on how much we pay for them. Government should be logical on spending money.
