Topic:
Some people think that art is an essential subject for children at school while others think it is a waste of time. Discuss both side and give your opinion.
Art has been taught at almost every school in recent years. Students are having one or two art class per week. While some people say that students should learn art at school, others believe that studying art is wasting time. Both these opinions will be discussed.
There are a number of good reasons to let children study art. First of all, art is a subject which affects their creativeness. Colors and geometric shapes will definitely provide a feel good emotion for them. For example, blue is the color of the sky and the sea and it brings good mood to them. Secondly, there are many students prefer using right brain instead of using left brain. Because according to scientists, people who more uses the right brain are often good at art. For instance, a student who does great at art usually don't like Literature. Another reason is that if art is taught in schools, there will be less unemployment. People who has art degree could teach in schools. In addition, aesthetic is really important in building design or movies. In that case, schools should include the arts on the curriculum.
On the other hand, studying art could be a waste of time for who don't like this subject. Spending time on the things that we are not good at is not essential. We mustn't force a student who likes History to love art. Besides, impatient students cannot draw meticulously for a long time.
In my opinion, selecting an art field depends on the people themselves. The arts offer us fantastic opportunities for having jobs and designing objects, so schools need to teach them this subject.
