What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in a large city?

Nowadays, choosing to live in a large city could be a hard decision, as living in one has its advantages, as well as its disadvantages. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument.

Let’s start by looking at the advantages of living in a large city. First of all, living in such a large city is highly convenient. Everything seemed to be everywhere, shops, clinics, pharmacies, … You wouldn’t have to go anywhere far to get to your destination. Secondly, large cities also provide with many education forms and job opportunities. Schools are of higher quality, with better education. Employees are given a higher salary, and also a better job. Working or studying places would be cleaner, and much more modern.

Turning to the other side of the argument, living in large cities also has its downsides. With so many people living in such large cities, traveling could be a problem. During the rush hour, you could be stuck in traffic jams for hours and hours, moving an inch per minute. Then all those emissions from hundreds of vehicles and factories make the air pollution worse, causing smog, which is not good for your health. And with the cars honking all day, life would never be peaceful.

In summary, living in a large city could be extremely convenient. It also provides people with better education and better job opportunities. However, living in the city could also be quite stressful, with all the traffic jams resulting in unhealthy air pollution and smog, and also no tranquility.
