Topic: More and more work is being carried out by machines in all areas of our lives. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this development?

My essay:

There is no denying the fact that with the advent of technology, most of the work in the modern era is being done with the help of machines. This phenomenon has brought many benefits, but it also has lots of drawbacks.

On the one hand, the use of machines has helped to reduce human effort and time being spent at the workplaces. Moreover, thanks to the advent of appliances like washing machines, dishwashers, and robotic vacuum cleaners have made people's lives more comfortable, the majority of household tasks can be done with little effort. For example, these devices have given people more freedom by allowing them more time to devote to leisure activities.

On the other hand, increased utilization of machines reduces the physical activities of an individual. In fact children, for instance, deal with growth disorders and lethargy due to continuous use of computers and electronic gadgets like laptops, tablets or smartphones in their leisure time rather than playing outdoor games. Moreover, using machines are also pose serious of people, they have fewer opportunities to exercise and incline to purchase and utilize more equipment. Therefore, it brings convenience and less labor work.

In conclusion, there is no doubt that many tasks are being performed by machines in every sphere and they save energy and time. But at the same time, excessive use of machines in the workplace leads to unemployment. Over-dependence on machines also causes health problems in humans.
