Pollution of rivers, lakes and seas is a major concern for people who seek to protect the environment.

What are the possible causes of water pollution, and what effects does this have on animal life and human society?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In this contemporary society, environment preservation is a big consideration to many people, especially the youth, who is sufficient awareness of the bad effects of water pollution. This essay will provide reasons why water may be polluted and how it affects wildlife as well as human being.

Since society develops constantly, manufacturing sectors grow like mushrooms. The government implied laws to reduce factory exhausts, however, not all the factory follow the rules. In many underdeveloped nations, residents spend most of their time earning living, thereby having no excitement in protecting the environment. Day by day, dwellers become indifferent to pollution, they have a mindset “it is none of my business to protect the sea”. For instance, Asia is an area with huge nylon bag usage, nevertheless, many countries do not have appropriate approach to recycle or to reduce people habits. Consequently, millions of sea animals in East Sea are struggling with plastic.

Water is an extremely vital resource to human being, unfortunately, the major of people do not have a thorough understanding about how bad water pollution will affect their lives while some understood but they put no effort into changing their way of living. Start with the sea, there are researches widely reported that thousand of tortoise and fishes contain plastic in their body. Human use plastic and toss it to the sea then eat seafood, which means human take plastic into their body indirectly. Besides, the bad quality of water endangers citizens’ health led to the downward of living standard. Once water is polluted, the government must solve the problem, hence, pollution put more constraints on nation’s budget.

To conclude, water pollution brings big trouble to animal life and society little by little. Therefore, human not only should pay more attention to protect the environment but also start to change the world with practical actions.
