Topic: Some people think that people should choose their job based on income in order to for their family. Do you think money is an important factor when choosing a job? What other factors should be considered?

A part of the society holds a belief that salary should be taken into account when people seeking for a job because of their family. From my point of view, salary is definitely a crucial factor for job-seekers, and people should also consider about many other factors.

There are many reasons that could explain why money is important for job-seekers and their family. The primary explanation is that money could be utilized in order to afford people’s basic needs. As people, especially who are the breadwinner of their family, have to pay a large number of bills for their foods, beverages, housing, and electricity monthly. Moreover, they usually want to improve their living standard by buying luxury cars and furniture, therefore salary is often one of the most crucial factors that are often highlighted by employees when they are finding a job. Another reason is that money could help people to gain job satisfaction easier at work. People, who are in need of a job, could find it is worth their effort when offered a suitable salary range by the employers. As a result, employees could perform well at work and might quickly be promoted.

Besides salary, there are many other factors which should also be considered by job-seekers. First, they should take non-monetary incentives into account when choosing a job. Ernst and Young company, for examples, revealed that the secret key that helps this company to recruit staffs easily is offering new employees with generous retirement package, therefore these staffs could ensure that they would have fulfilled life after retirement. Second, the company’s culture should also be considered by job-seekers. As they might spend half of their life in this places, they should be aware that their new colleagues are willing to share or not, this company would organize bonding trips frequently or not in order to make the decision of working for the company.

To conclude, I strongly believe that money is an important factor that job-seeker should think about when choosing a job, as their salary ould financially assist their family. Furthermore, there are many factors such as non-monetary incentives and the company’s culture should also be taken into account by job-seekers.
