Ielts Writing task 2

"Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views and give your opinion."

Many teenagers make the choice whether to get a job after high school or to finish college. While it's argued that getting a job early can be beneficial, I believe that it is better to continue education.

On the one hand , start working right after school does bring advantages. Students can earn money, soon as they successfully find a job, despite the fact that the majority of jobs that hired highschool students doesn't offer high-salary. As a result, they are able to support their family finance , as well as become more independent. It's a common case that many students work for convenience stores such as Circle K , 7 Eleven before entering university to earn money for their livings.

On the other hand, I agree with those who decide to carry on their studying. Firstly, the practical skills that is compulsory for working are taught in university, depend on the major chosen. Therefore, students have graduated university have more opportunities to get a job as they don't have to re-learn those when they got hired. Furthermore, jobs that require college qualification are usually better-paid than which do not need qualification. For instance, working as a bank accountant normally earned more money than work for a shop.

In conclusion, although it's supposed that finding a job straight after school can bring many benefits, I believe that keep on studying higher level of education is the best choice.
