People now tend to live abroad. Some people may think that they should have the freedom to go and live everywhere they want. In my perspective, there were two main advantages and disadvantages of that idea.
The first good thing about the freedom of moving and living is to give people the opportunity to change their life. People can choose a better place for themselves. The underprivileged from underdeveloped countries desire to go to affluent nations so they can find a good work and earn a living. Therefore, the country losing people may decrease pressure on jobs and resources. Besides, the idea of people can go and live in different countries link to the diversity of culture. In a country, there are all kinds of people who from every corner of the Earth. Thus, there will be no boundaries in the World.
On the other hand, freedom of immigration may have negative impacts. In the host country where people choose to live, there will be effect ranging from overcrowding to problems of accommodation, transportation, and the environment. Immigrated people require a house and other services to start a life in there, and some people cannot have it. In some cities such as New York, there are many homeless, the number of crime, therefore, has increased considerably. Besides, if people can choose where they live and all go to developed countries or big cities, there will be a tremendous gap between these countries and underdeveloped countries.
In conclusion, while allowing people to go to different countries and can choose anywhere to live seem like a good idea, in theory, I believe there are many considerable problems with it in reality.
