Some people think that good health is very important to every person, so medical service should not be run by profit-making companies. Do the advantages of private health care outweigh the disadvantages?

With recent impressive development of medical field, several for-profit corporations competitively provide medical services. However, some people argue that health-related services should not be provided by these companies because of doubts about these qualities. Personally, I believe that the pros of the private health care outweigh the cons on some following grounds.

On the one hand, the profit-making companies have some advantage when it comes to providing good health. To be clearer, if anyone meets with accidents or is in an emergency, they will get instant treatment in private hospitals. As a matter of fact, state-owned hospitals require complicated procedures so as to better manage their own systems. In this case, numerous emergency patients would not be able to receive soon enough treatment. Moreover, mobile hospitals which are probably sponsored by private companies usually run volunteering projects providing rural and remote areas with medical services.

On the other hand, the downsides of private health care are related to monetary policies. In fact, state hospitals ordinarily have supporting measures like health insurance so as to help the poor while private ones do not have. Working for profit, these companies set price of those services rather high when compared to that of state enterprises. However, higher servicing cost means better attitude of private workforce and more professional environment. In other words, private corporations do not get approach to the poor so they cannot ensure good health for all people.

In conclusion, private health care manages to give prompt treatment in a emergency for targeted patients. It would be the height of stupidity to prevent profit-making companies from running medical services.
