IELTS Writing Task 2

Topic: Many people believe that entrepreneurship should be taught to young people from an early age, while others think that is not recommended. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

This is my essay:

Entrepreneurship can be commonly understood as knowledge and skills in setting up fledgling businesses to seek opportunities and become fully fledged enterprises. That is why many people believe that youngsters should be equipped with business know-how and entrepreneurial skills, while others do not give their consent to that view. This essay will shed light on both opinons and give my own perspective.

On the one hand, the main reason why many do not agree with teaching these skills for children before they come to school-leaving age is that entrepreneurial know-how can obviously complicated to follow. Teenagers, in addition, is struggling with packed timetables and heavy workloads leading to their time frame for extracirrcullar is eaten up, adding new subjects will worsen this situation. Moreover, a great number of people deem that doing more physical jerks rather than studying academic subjects will go a long way towards assisting children's comprehensive development.
On the other hand, I highly recommend teaching entrepreneurship to young people due to its beneficial influences on their cognitive behaviour. Firstly, time management and prioritisation are important skills regardless what their career choice is. Secondly, business-related lessons can urge children on their appetite to be made of money through reality activities such as making handmade items for selling and making money. Finally, entrepreneurial skills can be very appealing to young people if it is taught in an innovative way as learn about a company's case study.
In conclusion, despite the fact that entrepreneurship is not easy, I convinced that teaching this subject can help children engineer their own future.
