Topic: "Prevention is better than cure". Researching and treating diseases is too costly so it would be better ti invest in preventative measures.
To what extent do you agree?
People nowadays have to encounter with many dangerous diseases which are mostly incurable. Thus, it is undoubted the case that prevention is better than cure. In my perspective, I totally agree with this statement for several reasons.
To begin with, medical treatment for diseases is very costly, especially diseases which are in the final phase. These diseases often apply to many therapies costing too much money but not everyone can afford to cure. Although a number of scientists are searching for cheap healing for fatal diseases, none of them are successful at all. For example, most of the cancers do not have a suitable treatment until now. Doctors just can prolong patients' life span from six months to one year and the remedy is usually expensive.
Another reason why I agree with the statement is that it can increase the opportunity of living. If a person realises his disease at the first phase, he can easily find a suitable healing for himself with cheap price through doctor's advice. meanwhile, treatment is costly; however, there is little likelihood that he will survive. So that, to prolong the longevity, you should go to the doctor monthly to ensure that your health is on the best condition. The more you take preventative measures, the less you go down with a virus.
In conclusion, I am convinced that people had better to take care of their health carefully rather than cure the disease in order to save money and increase the likelihood of surviving. it is high time for people to aware of their health and take preventative measures.
