Ielts writing task 2

Topic: today , the high sales ofpopular goods reflec the powwer of advertising and not real need of society in which they are sold. Agree/ disagree?

some people widely believed that advertising, not the real need of consumers, leads to popularity of a product. I completely agree with this point of view.

In my opinion, advertising is a key part of modern business, and it helps increase sales of goods. Companies need to tell customers about their products through the means of media, particularly TV, with huge coverage. This led to customers have a lot of information and about the choices they have, they will buy much larger products than they need. For instance, when computer connected with Internet, everyone living on wherever, can see advertisement, they have specific information about describing products. Without advertising, producers would not be able to reach out to their buyers owing to a struggle to introduce or popularize their new lines of product.

I also agree with the idea that under various circumstances, influential advertisements manipulate people into purchasing something they have no need for. In fact, advertisement often aims their marking at children because child can easily be influenced by ad, and they put pressure on parents to buy them things. For example, Doremon, who is a renowed character on the carton film, has a lot of kids fan, participated in a commercial advertisement on TV about a new product. Result of enormous number of his loyal fans would purchase those goods. This is because they want to be like their idols or simply it is a way to express their admiration and favorite.

In conclusion, I believe that advertising is great way to boost sales of products in free market economies although it not real need of society.
