The given table illustrates the data of age, scale and yearly carrying capacity in six noticeable metro systems in the global.
Overall, we can see that the recently metro systems are significant shorter than previous ones.
First of all, standing at 1100 km, London MRT systems is the longest and also the oldest as it has completed in 1863. Following this, the Paris underground started operating in 1890 and it is the second oldest system with 594 kilometres in length. The most recently metro system was built in Los Angeles in 2001 with 14 kilometres in length. Finally, completed in 1980 with 11 kilometres in length so Kyoto metro system was the shortest.
Besides, there was a significant improvement in construction of the metro system in Tokyo which is seen the highest annual carrying capacity compare to other systems, at 1434 million. Standing at the second and the third position about the annual carrying capacity are Paris and London system, at 850 and 548 million respectively. Standing at the last position, is still Kyoto system, transporting just 11 million passengers per year.
