IELTS writing task 1. the changes in Castello'n

The two maps compare the transformation in Castellón - the city of Spain from 2000 to the recent period of time.

It is clear that the Castellón experienced dramatic modernization in order to meet the development of the city. Other various constructions have been newly built such as residence, transport infrastructure and other amenities.

Looking into the maps in more detail. In 2000, Castellón was just a small city in which there have been some buildings behind the road overlooking the port. But nowadays, City has grown rapidly. The old train station was demolished to make way for the police station while the new train station appeared in the middle of the Castellón city together with city centre area which has connected to the university by the tramline. Besides, there were a new airport being under construction in the east side. In addition, The road runing through the East to the West of the city centre has been converted into a pedestrian path.

As well as the changes mentioned above, further development includes a new hall of residence which was built next to the university in the northwest of the city. Another striking change is that the old market has been replaced by new shops and a new converted market has also been built on the east side of the city. Finally, there were various other facilities that have built and located in everywhere to carte to the people in the city.
