The table gives information of figure of a number of main metro systems in several huge cities over the world.

On the whole, all of major metro is in prime city of developed countries around the world. Moreover, almost of them were erected before the time of 2000.

Interestingly, the metro is that have had longest history is in London in 1863, soon afterward there was a historical opening day in Paris in 1809. Until 2001, Los Angeles just had metro for transport system.
