Questions: The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
My answer:
The line graph compares the amount of enquiries sent to the Tourist Information Office via three ways: by letter or email, by telephone and directly in person from January to June in 2011 in a city.
It is clear that the proportion of enquiries sent in person and by telephone increased dramatically and the most significant surge was seen in person-sent enquiries, while the figures for letter or email commuinication fell throughout six months.
In January, there were about 700 to 900 enquiries sent by telephone and by letter or email respectively. The figures for person-sent enquiries stayed much lower, only at over a half compared to telephone-sent enquiries. By June, an astonishing peak of nearly 2000 enquiries was witnessed in the amount of enquiries sent in person, accounting the highest amount of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office, followed by 1600 letter-sent enquiries. The proportion of enquiries sent in form of letter or email, however, decreased considerably to less than 400 enquiries received, nearly a fifth of the amount of person-sent enquiries.
P.S: If you can, please tell me what band score I am now so that I can base on it to develop my writing skills.
