IELTS WRITING TASK 1: PROCESS

Topic: The diagram above shows how to obtains water outdoor. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The picture depicts the process through which water outdoors is obtained.

Overall, this water collection process is relatively simple and efficient with some basic tools such as rocks, a plastic sheeting, a digging tool, and a container.

First of all, a bowl-shaped hole is dug with an additional sump dug in the center. The plastic plate is placed over the hole and covered the sides with rock to keep it there. Inside the sump, there is a container in the center surrounded by the green plants.

The process begins when the vegetation emits the amount of moisture which reacts with the heat from the sun to produce condensation on the plastic film on the top of the sump. Over time, this condensation creates more and more water on the surface of the plastic film. Then given gravity force, water run down into the container. Finally, once the water in the tank is full, it is ready for drinking.
